Well, welcome to Blogger! I swore I would never do this because I doubt anyone cares about my day-to-day life... other than my mother. However, I have followed the crowd and decided to move on from Facebook to Blogger. Let's see how it goes! To start off, my son cracks me up. I fear he will be the child who makes the class lugh when the teacher has her back turned. Bless my little boy, even though I am kinda hard on him, I can barely discipline him without laughing sometimes. (And by the way, NO ONE told me how... tough this whole "being 3" thing was. Who ever said "Terrible Two's" had no clue. They obviously had not made it to 3 yet!) Which brings me to my first blog post.
My dear son has recently decided not to say "Good Morning" anymore when he wakes up. I tried to get up before him, but if I do that... he is up at 6:00 a.m. with me and that just makes for a very long day. So, the first thing out of my child's mouth is, "I want to be Iron Man!" Or some other hero-type. So this is my day:
6:00 a.m.- Iron Man
8:00 a.m.- Batman
10:00 a.m.- Spiderman... and I MUST not forget the rainboots. They do complete the look.
Then lunch and a sleepy Dino nap.

Then after this, he usually goes back to each outfit and starts all over. This is his daily routine and it had just about driven me crazy. This does not include the "Hero/Cartoon" jammies. We have Superman (with the cape, a must!) Buzz LIghtyear, Woody, Batman and about 10 others. I am not going to go mad changing costumes, for this is a phase and it too shall pass. Right???!!??
Welcome to the blogosphere, my Friend! I used to think that blogs were silly, too. But... Once I got started, I was hooked. It's fun now to look back at posts from 2 years ago and reminisce. There are also some websites (like blurb.com) that you can use to make your blog into a book. So... it's like you're scrapbooking (but without all of the supplies and time), but your family and friends can read as you go along. :)
ReplyDeleteAh, the dress up phase... I love it! Clayton was exactly the same way. He still has TONS of costumes and dresses up almost every day. So, you're not getting out of it any time soon. Ha! It does get easier when they can put the costumes on themselves, though. ;)
Cameron looks so grown up! It's been too long... Miss you guys!
Yes, I haven't really scrapbooked in so long. I did hear I could turn this into a book so I was sold right away! I said I lovd the drees up phase too... uh about 4 months ago and now I am having to order these insane costumes online because... well "Mommy- Superman has boots and a belt and I need one too!" So yeah- I have tried to allow the "put it on yourself" and boy does that get old. HA! I have actually reduced the drees up to his choice of two per day! Otherwise it's every 10 minutes and I can't get anything done. We went to Lowe's in full Iron Man (outfit, wrist light, glove, mask and cowboy boots) about a week ago. Yes it has been way too long. I wished we lived closer because I know the boys would LOVE playing together!! We miss you guys too :)
