Costumes, Costumes, Costumes!

Costumes have been such a big thing for Cameron since he turned two. We have accumulated a serious amount of costumes. Every day Cameron will pull out the bucket and start getting dressed :)

This is all within one hour.
I have NO idea what this costume is...
Spiderman #2
Pirate?
Army Guy- Note the serious face. HA!
Police Man

My camera died and that was NOT the end of the Costume Fashion Show. However, you get the drift :)

Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

My Child will be the one who has a decorated holiday vest for EVERY holiday.... I have no idea where he gets that from. :) Cameron is obsessed with holidays. Christmas is the worst, so far. He will cry to put up the tree, begs to watch the Grinch everyday and sings all the holidays songs constantly. However, the past few weeks have been Easter. We have been hunting eggs since April 5th. I finally had to put it all away and say- STOP and wait for Easter. Although he did manage to keep one thing..

Mr. Potato Head

Everyday I see something Cameron does that makes my heart smile... this was one of them! Can you guess who he is?
Well, if you guessed Mr. Potato Head, you WIN!

Spring Has Sprung!

I love planting flowers. Well, let me rephrase. I love watching Van plant flowers! We made our annual Spring has Sprung rip to Lowe's and loaded up on flat after flat of pretty flowers! Cameron was more than happy to hold All the flats for his mom and dad ;)

Cameron These Days

I have a few things I have to "get on paper" about Cameron these days.

1.) He is always something. Sometimes he is Batman, a puppy, Buzz- he is ALWAYS something. Lately, he is an elephant. He does this funny on all fours walk with his bottom way up in the air and makes an elephant sound. It is hard to concentrate on anything when you see "Little Elephant Boy" walk by.

2.) Cameron is all into his cousins right now. EVERYTHING is about the cousins... everything! This is not bad but none of them live very close so I have to constantly remind him we can't just go see them after school. It's sweet the things he says about them- he has a heart of gold, that's for sure.

3.) Cameron is learning to tell time. The other morning he crawled into my bed, after Van had left for work (he leaves at 5 am BTW) and said, "Mommy, it's time to wake up!" I replied, "Cameron read me the numbers on daddy's clock." His reply was, "It says five two five." Um- WHAT?! I thought surely he had mixed up some numbers so I sat up and saw- that he was, in fact, correct. I couldn't overlook the fact that he said the correct time, so we were up. Telling time is fun... unless your child thinks anything after 4 am is "wake up time."

4.) We have hit "FIT" central. I was hoping to take the short cut from the whiny three's to happy four's. We must have missed the exit. EVERYTHING... okay maybe I should cut him some slack...ALMOST everything turns into a, "buuuuuttttt mmmooooommmmyyyyyy...." Yep, Gee, three wasn't so bad ;)

5.) I have been forced to put Cameron in preschool 5 days a week from 9-2:30 because this college thing is demanding. Yes, I know, I know, a four year degree is not easy. However, I miss my baby. I am blessed though that his school is amazing.

6.) The kids is just plain funny. He spouts out random things at the most perfect time. You can't help but crack up. This may be one of my favorite things about the age of 4.

That's all I've got for now.

Random Cuteness!

Cameron, since he has turned four, has grown up so much. It seems like each month he is doing something else I thought he would do at 6 not 4! The cutest thing happened the other day when I picked him up from preschool. I walked in and heard the "Nutcracker" playing. When I peeked in the classroom, Cameron was waltzing with a little girl. He saw me and said, "No, mommy you can't watch!" I was watching anyways of course. He bowed to the girl and said, "Princess, I am a Prince. Can I please have this dance?" I about fell out on the floor and wished I carried my camera in with me... it was in the car. The cuteness out weighs the tantrums by quite a bit. Now if only the cuteness was more often than the fits :)

This kid and his "Rock On" thing cracks me up!

What a Weekend!

This weekend was a good one! The weekend stated out with chocolate sprinkle donuts, not for me though. (Darn this diet!) I am not sure why Cameron is making these cheesy faces when I tell him to smile.

Firday night, I got about 5 inches cut off my hair. AND after countless months of growing out my bangs (not sure why) I decided to cut them off too. This was the finished result! It feels so much better!

After my massive hair cut, Van and I enjoyed a nice NIGHT OUT! A much needed date, while Cameron was with Nana, which is my mom. We went to Pastafina, Granbury's Olive Garden. It's amazing! After dinner, we watched Lost until about 1 am, then finally went to bed. I got to sleep in Saturday! WONDERFUL!

Saturday, we picked up Cameron and headed to Ft. Worth for fish and books. Van needed a new fish for his fish tank and I needed to hit the Half Price Books. I have been itching for new books! But first, we had to bribe Cameron to behave with a little Chuck E. Cheese. Hey, I know bribery is not a good thing, but sometimes- I am all for it! So, we went to the lovely, over crowded, hot Chuck E. Cheese. Boy was it... fun.

After Chuck E. Cheese, we went to this new fish store Van found and bought fish for our fish tanks and headed to Half Price Books. $120.00 later, we headed home. It was a quiet evening and Sunday was the same. We stayed in the pool all day, almost! It was wonderful. However since I did no chores this weekend... my Monday is not going to be so relaxing. I have about a million things to do and about half the time I need. Chores, chores, chores! Also, since Cameron is out of Preschool for the summer, I am starting a little bit of "school" at home. We have playdates, crafts, games and much more. If I can get my chores done!

After being a "nervous" mother about schools he has been too, I can say I LOVE his Preschool! They are amazing. AND it's ALL Christian based which is even better. HE reminds me all the time... "Mommy Jesus said..." I love it! We need to go back to Church BAD! In Arlington, we actually found a church where we fit in, but when we moved out here it got overwhelming! Churches out here are different and everytime we vist, all they talk about is money. I know a church needs money to operate, but it is seriously all they ever talk about. Since Spetember 2009, after visiting several churches, NONE of them have had a Sunday morning sermon about anything in the Bible. It's really frustrating. My Mamaw says to just go and eventually they will have a sermon, but to me, first impressions are everything. So, I don't know what to do. I just read my Bible and do my workbooks and teach Cameron what I can about God and hope God will lead my family to the right place. It makes me want to move back to Arlington to be at our Church, but it's just not goning to happen.

Anyways, we had a great family weekend! Here comes July 4th weekend. Man, wasn't it JUST Christmas??? Then, on July 18th, Cameron and I are going to Holly Lake Ranch for a few days to visit Mamaw! A much needed Mini-Vacation! I sure miss my Mamaw. I may not be the best grandkid, but I sure love her!

So, goodbye weekend, hello Monday!
