ABC Bible Verses "A"

Camp is over and Cameron is not starting Pre-K until Sept. 6! He will be going to Firt United Methodist Church, where he had summer camp. We have 5 weeks to keep busy with fun summer activities! Cameron and I are "home" 4 days a week. I thought I would do a letter and bible verse for everyday! That takes us to "U" so we will have to throw in a double day there a couple of times. Today was "A."

"A gentle answer turns anger away."
Proverbs 15:1

He colored in the Letter A
Then he tore up red and green paper to glue on the apples
to give them color.
He was very proud of his work:)

On the bottom of his page, I wrote this:

The Lord’s been good to me
And so I thank the Lord
For giving me the things I need:
The sun and the rain and the appleseed.
The Lord is good to me!

I love this kid:)

Saturday Family Fun!

On Saturday, after Cameron's soccer game (which he scored a goal at!) we went to my brother-in-law's house for games and a BBQ. We had a great time playing Wii with 4 people... well it was interesting:) Dinner was great! Thanks to my feet swelling we had to call it quits around 8 p.m. Darn! Right before candy, popcorn and a movie :( But I did enjoy seeing the family and watching Cameron climb trees! The perfect way for a Saturday to be spent!

Aunt Lacie & Cameron
Uncle Waylon & Cameron
Isn't he darling?!
He even convinced Dad to climb! HA!
My Baby!

My Own Little Harry Potter!

This Pearce crew is a little obsessed with Harry Potter... can't help it. I will say it is 100% my husband & his family's fault! So, in honor of Van and I seeing the FINAL movie for a second time we made wands! I did allow Cameron to watch the first movie... but that will have to do for about 4 more years!

We pulled out the ol' dress up cloak and settled in to watch the movie!

Last Day of Camp and VBS!

July 30th was Cameron's last day of camp AND Vacation Bible School. The last day of camp was "Water Day!" I just loved his "MO-GAWK" I had to get the picture on here!

My Swimmer!

I can officially say Cameron knows how to swim! Now, I taught him 2 summers ago and each year since he has remembered how. The first summer he wore a float, but jumped in the deep end and went under water. Last summer he never wore a float and could dive for rings and such but never could keep a float in the deep end. This year the kid can swim all over the pool anywhere! I am such a proud mommy! I am so happy my baby is a swimmer like his mama and daddy are! Let's hope baby #2 likes the water too!

Excuse the wind! Ha!

My Little Fish

I am so grateful that Cameron loves the water. Since he was a tiny newborn he has loved the water as much as Van and I. That is a good thing because we spend all summer and half of fall (because Texas is so wonderfully hot) in the water. I can only pray our next child is just as water friendly! Last summer (Cameron was 3) I taught him how to swim underwater, find diving sticks, and jump in the water! This summer he is a blast!

Going under!
I sure am a lucky Gal!
Jumping in!!!
This child makes my heart swoon :)

The past few days have been pretty fun! On Thursday, I took Cameron to see Dispicable Me! We have been to the movies before, of course, but only as a family. This time, all by myself, I mastered it! I got him this cute little "Tot Box." Soda, popcorn, hot dog and a tiny bag of M&Ms. He thought it was GREAT! The movie was really cute too and had a good message!

On Friday, I decided to buy Cameron a "Floor Puzzle." Ok, good idea! Note to self: Just because it says "Double Sided" doesn't mean it is a good deal. Sometimes two-in-one isn't the way to go. I now have to lay all the pieces out depending on the puzzle he is doing and make sure they don't get flipped over. This puzzle may get eaten by the toy monster and replaced with 2 one sided puzzles...

Sunday, we went over to my mom's for a pool party afternoon!

And I forgot the camera after this picture :( BUT, we had a great time!
After our hour long trip to the pet shop today, we decided to do some cutting and after nap we made homemade play-Dough. That was interesting

Cameron is at such a FUN age, as long as he has the perfect amount of sleep. He is such a helper! We saw his preschool teacher at Wal-Mart yesterday and Cameron and Mrs.Cherish both about cried! What a wonderful teacher she is! School starts back up On August 23. Cameron is constantly asking me when we go to school again. Tomorrow we are making a "Ring" .... thing. You know, the one that counts down to a specific day!! Mrs. Cherish told Cameron either her or her mother would be his new teacher this year! How exciting!!!!!!!

Oh Summer!

This summer has been pretty busy so far and there have been a few "firsts" in our little family.

First, I am totally used to Cameron going to Preschool 2 half days a week. I have become very dependent on my half days. I am working on my bachelor's degree and this spring I became a junior. I am sinking! So if the first time- I have no time for school work. I go 24/7 and by 11:00 at night... I am so tired, I wouldn't get in any study time if I tried. THANKFULLY, my friend just moved to Granbury and she is a S.A.H.M also, so we are going to rotate days, until school starts back in August, watching each other's kiddos. That is nice!

For the first time, I am seeing my child in a whole other way. He is becoming such a little gentleman. He holds the door open for me, helps me carry things in from he car, and is always asking me, "Mommy, I would like to help you like Daddy does. What can I do?" He sure is following a wonderful example and I am very lucky to have such a sweet husband.

For the first time, Cameron can swim underwater all by himself. I can NOT believe how grown up he is from each summer. So I must go back, way way back... down memory lane :)

Man, looking back at that adorable chubby face makes me miss the baby in Cameron. He is growing so fast and becoming a little boy. It's amazing how the nurse hands you a little blue blanket bundle and you are smitten right away. I never knew being a mom was anything like this. It's a blessing. AND HOPEFULLY God will bless us with another baby soon. Yes, I said it! Van and I have decided to try for baby #2! Oh and that was another first- for the first time, I truly want another baby. For the past few years I have been perfectly happy with only one child and for a while didn't want more children. AND I have been utterly terrified to have another c-section! EEK! But now- Oh my goodness- it's baby, baby, baby- Poor Van :)
Well, I have rambled on long enough! For my last first, I am going to make it to bed before midnight :) HAHA! That's a real first!
