Ok, each month I, with much excitement, pick up the newest Parenting Mag. I have been "reading" it since I found out I was going to be a parent. Each time I flip through the pages, I hope something will hit close to home and totally fix the napping issue, the nagging issue, the whining or even how to get you child not to pull the ever patient dog's tail. While most of the topics I read would have been useful at other times, there is always one thing I love! On the last page there is always a Parenting Top 10! And it cracks me up! This month (August) the Top 10 is:
Things we know we shouldn't do- But do anyway.
These are my favorite 5!

1.) Sit back and let your kid be hyper-loud in the yard because it annoys your mean neighbor lady so much.

2.) Crack up at how funny your kid looks throwing a tantrum.

3.) Give in and let your kid paint the dog's nails because you're too tired to come up with a reason not to.

4.) Lie to your child about what Lady Gaga means when she sings she wants to, "take a ride on your disco stick." And change the station.

5.) Funnel the birthday checks directly into the college fund without telling you child. They need and education more than another Littlest Petshop toy.

This makes me laugh- and that's a good thing :)
